Dr. Wynn is a member of the faculty at the University of Florida, after academic tours at Duke University and Vanderbilt University. His research focus is human and murine neonatal sepsis and innate immunity. He has received continuous funding from the NIH, Gerber Foundation and Thrasher Fund since 2010. Dr. Wynn has over 50 primary science manuscripts, reviews and book chapters; collectively cited over 1,700 times. He serves as a Peer Review Committee Member for the American Heart Association (Immunology Basic Science III), Ad Hoc Reviewer for the NIH (NICHD, NIAID, LRP) and over 25 scientific journals. He has served as Reviewer and Session Chair at annual PAS meetings and has presented his research in poster or platform formats at PAS every year since 2006. After taking the Specialty Review course and passing the boards, Dr. Wynn became part of the SR faculty in 2011. Dr. Wynn received his medical degree and post-graduate medical training in pediatrics and neonatology at the University of Florida. During his residency, he was recognized twice for leadership and excellence in education by receiving the department’s annual resident teaching award.
